In response to the disastrous earthquakes that have devastated Pakistan, International Relief Teams has airlifted more than $200,000 of emergency medicines and medical supplies to assist thousands of victims of the disaster.
Since September 14th, IRT has been providing continuous medical services for victims of Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi. IRT has concentrated its efforts on the coast between Gulfport and Pass Christian. "Our mission is to maintain the health of hundreds of families in the devastated region" stated IRT executive director, Barry La Forgia. IRT will continue to rotate medical teams into the region through November.
Medical Training
IRT promotes self-sufficiency and sustainability by "training the trainers", while establishing a solid foundation upon which health care can be dramatically improved in emerging nations.

IRT brings hope and healing to rural areas of the world by providing surgical and clinical services for the forgotten poor.
Public Health
Since 1988, 138 teams, involving 1,063 volunteers, have participated in IRT's public health projects worldwide.

Natural and man-made disasters can occur without warning anywhere in the world. IRT offers both immediate and long-term relief to disaster victims.
